As a member of the first Doctoral Class in the City University of New York's Physical Therapy program, one of only 18 students accepted in the inaugural year, Jonathan combines his expertise in weight loss and strength training with his knowledge of performance enhancement and rehabilitation to provide his clients with a unique experience that produces outstanding results.
Jonathan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Certified Health & Fitness Instructor (HFI) through the American College of Sports Medicine, and a USA Weightlifting Level-1 Club Coach. In addition, Jonathan is also a certified ART practitioner, an advanced soft tissue and movement rehabilitation system that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. He is a professional member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy sections, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.
Jonathan has worked with a wide variety of individuals, including athletes, weight loss clients, rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation patients, and elderly populations, as well as general fitness enthusiasts throughout the world. At Rutgers University, he has worked as the strength and conditioning coach for both the Rutgers University Men's and Women's Rugby teams, the Women's Club Soccer team, and Water Polo team.
Jonathan is also a lab instructor and part-time lecturer in the Exercise Science department at Rutgers. His writings can be seen in numerous print and online magazines, including Men's Fitness magazine. You can also listen to him as a regular co-host of The FitCast, one of the top health & fitness podcasts on the internet.
